Claudio Marcello was born in Fiume, but has been of Tuscan blood for generations. He has lived many years in various foreign countries.

He lives and works in Rome and Sarteano (Siena). His first exhibition was in 1951 at the Vieux Paris Gallery in Montevideo, the city where he won the 1st prize for Graphic Art. In 1958 he was at the National Salon of Plastic Arts in Buenos Aires. In 1965 a personal exhibition at the D'Urso Art Gallery in Rome. In recent years participations and personal exhibitions in Rome (Cassiopea 2011) and Rieti 2012 (Palazzo Comunale).

Selected by galleries and critics for the Contemporary Art Exhibitions on the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, he exhibited at the Polo Museale Casa di Dante (Florence), at the Salone delle Colonne Castello Reale del Valentino (Turin), at the Dioscuri Complex of the Quirinale ( Rome). He obtained the 3rd Prize at the 2nd International Biennial of Contemporary Art of Chianciano 2011 (Siena) where in 2012 a work by him and one by Henry Moore were chosen to combine together for the cover of the Catalog and for the official posters.

He achieves the 1st Prize of the Anglo Italian Academy at the Chianciano International Art Award. Various works are exhibited in events managed by the Gagliardi Gallery of London in England where, in 2013, he participates in the London Biennale. In 2013 he exhibited at the Bellini Museum in Florence and again at the Biennale of the Chianciano Museum, obtaining the "Leonardo Award for Excellence". In 2014 he exhibited in Rome (Cascina Farsetti), in Carrara, in Pietrasanta, in Rome at the Villa V. Pamphili Museum. At the end of 2014 in the USA, at the EuArt Basel Miami for the Astrolabio Gallery in Rome.

It is published in the 2015 Mondadori Catalog and hosted with interviews and works in the TV ARTE Orler Group. After some group exhibitions, a Personal Exhibition at the Silber Gallery in Rome (director Pino Purificato) dates from 2018. In 2022 he won the First Artist Prize of Italy (Pitturiamo.com/Galleria Purificato Zero) with the painting Skies-(Acrylic on canvas) which is exhibited at the Purificato-Zero Gallery (Via Bisagno - Rome).
